The Fifth International Conference on Automatic Differentiation (AD) 2008 will take place from August 11th to August 15th, 2008 at the Bonn-Aachen International Center for Information Technology (b-it center), Bonn (Germany) and will be held in cooperation with SIAM. The conference will start Monday afternoon and finish by noon on Friday. On Thursday afternoon a boat trip on the Rhine with a dinner is planed as social event which is included in the conference fee.
Bonn is easily accessible within one hour from Frankfurt/Main International Airport (by train or car). The history of the city dates back to Roman times. Five museums along Bonn's Museum Mile show a wide range of exhibits from ancient artifacts to modern art. "Computing then and now" is displayed at the Bonn University's Arithmeum. The Rhine river, parks, palaces, the romanesque Münster Cathedral and other sites are major tourist attractions in the region. General information about the city can be found at wikipedia and up to date event calendars and maps at the official Bonn homepage. There is also the opportunity for visiting the nearby cities of Cologne, Düsseldorf and Aachen.
The registration will come up soon. To give the organizers a helping hand, please pre-registrate here.
Our aim is to keep the financial burden on the participants as low as possible. We expect the conference fee to be 250 € for 100 participants. This value may rise up to a maximum of 300 € for less than 80 participants.
