Data Assimilation for Ocean Circulation
![]() Reversal Example |
Area: Oceanography
The tool revolve/treeverse is applied to an ocean circulation code and its adjoint in a realistic data assimilation calculation. The paper also shows that applying the scheme optimally circumvents (memory) storage limitations which can otherwise pose a hard constraint on the size of problem that can be practically assimilated.
